The Evil of Heresy According to Islam

This post is part one of a series of articles that I will be writing covering the evils of Islam. I will be heavily citing the Quran and other major Islamic texts and sources. I have used the site anti-Islam site The Religion of Peace as a source, however I have also checked English translations of the relevant Islamic texts.

Some like to pretend that Islam is not what it is. That is to say, that they pretend that it is not a genocidal death cult. And that the countless terrorists committing countless acts of terrorism committed in its name are not speaking for Islam. They assert that Islam would never condone such violence.

That could scarcely be further from the truth. In reality, Islam frequently demands that its followers commit acts of horrific violence. Not to protect its members from the ravages of invading barbarians. But because Islam considers it a mortal sin to be a nonbeliever. If you do not believe in Allah, then the Quran demands you to be violently murdered.

“(Remember) when your Lord inspired the angels… “I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them”

Quran 8:12

There is no reasonable way to interpret this other than advocating the murder of those that fail to believe in Allah. And the punishment for this allegedly heinous crime? Brutal torture and decapitation, presumably in that order.

Their torment will not end with death either. No, Allah has plans for the heathens after they are brutally murdered by his followers.

As to those who reject faith, I will punish them with terrible agony in this world and in the Hereafter, nor will they have anyone to help.”

Quran 3:56

Indeed, the Quran seems to argue that it is morally virtuous to strike down the heathen, regardless of whether or not one might be comfortable doing this. To be a good Muslim, you should be willing to kill nonbelievers.

Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not.”

Quran 2:216

Indeed. Not only should you consider fighting and killing to be a moral virtue, but you should also consider it a moral imperative.

Some say that this book does not advocate such things. Only the most vile evasion or ignorance could lead to that conclusion..

Not equal are those of the believers who sit (at home), except those who are disabled (by injury or are blind or lame, etc.), and those who strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives. Allah has preferred in grades those who strive hard and fight with their wealth and their lives above those who sit (at home).Unto each, Allah has promised good (Paradise), but Allah has preferred those who strive hard and fight, above those who sit (at home) by a huge reward “

Quran 4:95

That is an open criticism of those who refuse to fight and kill the heretic. They are morally inferior to those that fight and kill in the name of Allah. The Muslims that kill nonbelievers are to be granted special favors.

So, is it any wonder there are as many Islamic terrorists as there are? They have been promised a special place in Heaven. And all they must do is to kill and torture allegedly evil nonbelievers.

Indeed, the Quran frequently describes nonbelievers in an extremely negative light.

Those who disbelieve from among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, will be in Hell-Fire, to dwell therein (for aye). They are the worst of creatures.

Quran 98:6

The worst of creatures? Perhaps the Quran means that such people are merely the worst among men. This is not the case.

Surely the vilest of animals in Allah’s sight are those who disbelieve, then they would not believe.

Quran 8:55

They are like animals. And indeed, the lowest of imbecilic, mindless animals at that.

And had We willed, We would surely have elevated him therewith but he clung to the earth and followed his own vain desire. So his description is the description of a dog: if you drive him away, he lolls his tongue out, or if you leave him alone, he (still) lolls his tongue out. Such is the description of the people who reject Our Ayat (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). So relate the stories, perhaps they may reflect.

Quran 7:176
Islam thinks I am lower than a rabid dog...
Apparently I, as an infidel am lower than this rapid dog. It seems that they do not think much of dogs either though…

What about former Muslims who abandoned their faith? They must be killed.

Most religions take a very dim view on apostasy, that is, the abandonment of that religion. Islam takes an extremely dim view and encourages the murder of anyone that abandons the faith.

Some Stats

Now, let us look at some statistics.

In the last thirty days, as of the time of writing, there were 127 Islamic terrorist attacks. A total of 842 people were killed and 590 people were injured.

In 2021, as of September 11, 65 Islamic terrorist attacks were killing 8, 489 people and injuring 7, 673.

And in 2017, there were 2,097 Islamic terrorist attacks. They killed 16,810 people and injured 14,591.

In 2011, there were 1,998 Islamic terrorist attacks. The death toll was 9,098 and there were a further 16,926 injuries.

And finally, in 2001, there were 176 Islamic terrorist attacks. The death toll was 3, 508 and there were a further 1,561 injuries.

There are a lot of terrorist attacks each year. All of these were committed in the name of Islam. Don’t take my word for it, this is according to the terrorists themselves. They sure do not seem to think that Islam is a religion of peace!
